Richard Sterne, Scott Jamieson, Chris Wood and Stephen Gallacher have earned exemptions into the World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship on March 7-10.
The quartet of European Tour members secured berths into the guaranteed payday at TPC Blue Monster at Doral for sitting inside the Race to Dubai at the conclusion of the WGC-Match Play. (The other six were previously eligible.) Sterne leads the lot. Jamieson ranks second; Woods is eighth; and Gallacher is ninth. Each but Sterne will be making his debut in the tournament. The top 10 in FedExCup points at the conclusion of The Honda Classic will also gain entry.

Scott Jamieson was the last man standing in a playoff at Royal Durban Golf Club in South Africa for the inaugural Nelson Mandela Championship, securing the first victory of the 2013-14 season and his first on the European Tour.
What was scheduled as a typical 72-hole event evolved into a 36-hole survival. Heavy rain and storms banged the first two days before organizers cut the event in half. Because of the moisture, the par-70 track was converted into a par 34-31=65. After Steve Webster and Eduardo de la Riva reached the clubhouse in 7-under 123, Jamieson crafted a bogey-free, 8-under 31-26=57 to join them. The trio returned to the 18th hole for the playoff. Jamieson earned the title with consecutive pars, eliminating de la Riva (bogey) on the first trip, and then Webster the second time around. "To get your name on any European trophy is a fantastic achievement," said Jamieson, who poured in eight birdies today, including five on his outward nine, "but it's a little more special when it's for someone like Nelson [Mandela]. At the start of the day I probably didn't think I would be standing here holding the trophy; but I knew I needed a fast start and I was lucky enough to get that."

Scott Jamieson carded a 3-under-par 35-34=69 in the third and final round of the Scottish Open to finish in a share of third place, and winning the tiebreaker for the berth into the British Open.
The Scot finished birdie-birdie at Castle Stuart Golf Links to squeeze inside the top five at 14-under 202, albeit five strokes adrift of winner, Luke Donald. The exemption into the British was reserved for the highest finisher inside the top five not already eligible. Since four of the seven that tied for third had not already secured a tee time at Royal St. George's, the tiebreaker came into play; that is, the golfers' world ranking at the start of the week. Jamieson was 203rd, therefore, Mark Tullo (232nd), Martin Wiegele (305th) and Lorenzo Gagli (353rd) failed to qualify for the major.
