Bubba Watson revealed on Twitter today that he will return to competition at the Memorial on May 31-June 3.
On May 3, Watson announced that he'd be taking a few weeks off to enjoy time with his family. From a fantasy standpoint, it's never helpful in the short term when a stud rests, but the bright side is that he's not injured. If anything, finding balance in his personal life could translate into further success on the road.

Bubba Watson used Twitter to relay that he will not tee it up at next week's PLAYERS.
In a series of tweets, Watson wrote: "I've decided to pull out of the Players. I need to spend more time with [son] Caleb and [wife] Angie, plan to take at least a month off #familytime ... The Players is one of the best weeks of the year but bonding with my son and wife is what it is all about right now #familytime ... Sorry to disappoint fans but the Players has one of the best fields all year, tourney is more than fine without me ... I feel blessed and excited that I get to spend quality time with Caleb and Angie in the next few weeks #diaperchange ... I am lucky to play golf for a living, it allows me to pick my own schedule. I am blessed that I get to spend more #familytime" Well, the bright side is that he isn't announcing an injury or other physical ailment that's forcing the sabbatical.

Competing for the first time since his Masters victory, Bubba Watson wrapped up his Zurich Classic of New Orleans title defense at 11-under-par 277 with a final round of 2-under 36-34=70.
Watson only managed to find the 60s once, with his third round 65. Typical Bubba golf, he averaged 328.6 off the tee and found 79.2 percent of his GIR. He will sit out next week's trip to the Wells Fargo Championship and is expected back in action at THE PLAYERS Championship.

Bubba Watson opened his title defense of the Zurich Classic of New Orleans with a 1-under-par 37-34=71.
Making his first start since his playoff victory at the Masters, the lefty hit 15 greens at TPC Louisiana today but stil suffered three bogeys; one was a three-putt at the par-4 eighth hole where he missed his par save from 43 inches. He converted only four birdies, the only of which over six feet measured 11'4" at the sixth hole. He signed his card sitting six strokes off the clubhouse lead.
