Tag Ridings is set for his sixth trip to TPC Louisiana this week, teeing it up in the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
In his last trip, he tied for 26th in 2011. If you dig a little deeper, you notice that he’s missed the cut in his other four starts. In 11 starts this season, he owns two top-20 finishes but has missed seven cuts including his last three. There aren't enough stars aligning to warrant an investment in Ridings this week.

Tag Ridings has gained entry into this week's Arnold Palmer Invitational.
The PGA TOUR's media department reported this.
Ridings was given one of the four remaining sponsor exemptions. He's coming off a T17 at Copperhead, his second top 20 among three paydays in seven starts this season out of the graduate reshuffle. He's missed the cut in both previous starts at Bay Hill (2006, 2008).

Tag Ridings gained ground in the third round of the Tampa Bay Championship with a 1-under-par 36-34=70, moving up to 5-under 208.
On a day where the leaderboard was jumping around all afternoon, Ridings was a steady hand at the wheel. Opening with 11 pars, he rattled home a 13'9" birdie on the par-4 12th before giving back his only stroke at the 15th when he failed to convert a sand save. He then finished his day in red figures thanks to an 11-foot birdie on the 18th. He will start the final round just a stroke out of the lead and searching for his first PGA TOUR win.

Tag Ridings followed his opening 68 at the Tampa Bay Championship with a 1-under-par 34-36=70 in his second round to arrive at the midpoint in 4-under 138, three strokes back of the 36-hole clubhouse lead.
After landing only eight greens in regulation on Thursday, he found just 11 today but sustained a lone bogey at the par-3 17th hole. Neither of his birdies were gimmes though. After holing out from the rough 16 yards out at the par-3 fourth, he rolled in a conventional version from 20'8" at 9.
