PGA TOUR rookie Joe Affrunti is in Memphis, Tenneseee, for his second playing of the FedEx St. Jude Classic where he finished T47 in 2013. UPDATE: At 2-over-par 74-68=142, Affrunti missed the cut by one shot.
If he actually tees off, this will be the 34-year-old's last start on a medical extension out of the reshuffle category. He needs to earn $503,325 to meet the terms or at least $247,103 for conditional status for the remainder of the season. The Illinois native and resident has made three starts on the main tour so far in 2015-16 with his only cash a T20 ($64,909) at the 54-hole Zurich Classic. He's also gone 2-for-3 on the Web.com Tour, including a missed cut last week, ranking 151st on the money list ($5,568). Interestingly enough, his medical extension dates to his original rookie season on TOUR in 2011, where he made a career-high six starts. Wed, Jun 8, 2016 08:53:00 AM
