Russell Martin went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and four total RBI in Thursday's 7-2 win over the Angels.
Martin lofted a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning to boost the Blue Jays to a 2-0 lead. He would do considerably more damage in the sixth, when he cracked a three-run home run off Jose Valdez with one out. The veteran backstop started out slowly this season, but has at least somewhat rebounded to his current triple-slash of .239/.334/.418 over 402 at-bats. He has homered in back-to-back contests to give him 19 long balls and 71 RBI for the year as a whole. Sep 16 - 1:30 AM
