USA Today's Bob Nightengale passes along that the Reds have no plans to trade Joey Votto.
The Reds like not only Votto's very evident talent, but also his clubhouse leadership. If the team did consider trading him, though, they have a big chip on their hands. The veteran slugger slashed .326/.434/.550 with 29 homers and 97 RBI over 556 at-bats this past year. It was his seventh season with at least 20 home runs and also his seventh with a batting average of better than .300. Nov 9 - 6:24 PM
