David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution writes that Chipper Jones (calf) is "worse today than before."
Jones hasn't played since suffering a left calf contusion when he was smacked in the leg by a line drive off the bat of Rays' outfielder B.J. Upton last Friday. According to O'Brien, the stiffness moved up in his calf after they "milked" the contusion on Wednesday. We're not sure what that means exactly, but it certainly sounds gross. He remains sidelined indefinitely.

Jones was also held out of Wednesday's starting lineup but later appeared as a pinch-hitter. He's day-to-day.

Chipper Jones returned to action on Wednesday a pinch-hitter, drawing a walk in a 2-1 loss to the Reds.
Jones has been battling a left calf contusion. He was sent up with a runner on second in the seventh inning of a tie game, replacing pitcher Tommy Hanson. After earning the free pass, Jones was replaced by pitcher Tim Hudson. Consider Jones a question mark to start in Thursday's series finale.

Jones apparently still isn't over the left calf contusion he suffered last Friday. Juan Francisco will make another start at third base Wednesday.

Braves placed RHP Arodys Vizcaino on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to March 26, with a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow.
It's a procedural move, as Vizcaino underwent Tommy John surgery earlier this month. The hard-throwing right-hander will hope to make it back for the start of 2013.

Braves placed LHP Robert Fish on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to March 26, with left elbow tendinitis.
Fish made three appearances this spring before being shut down due to soreness. The 24-year-old left-hander was selected from the Angels in December's Rule 5 Draft, but the Braves get to keep him around as long as he's on the disabled list.
