Twins announced the retirement of RHP Brad Radke.
The 34-year-old Radke spent his entire 12-year career with the Twins, making 378 appearances, all but one of them a start. He finishes up 149-138 with a 4.22 ERA and a 1.26 WHIP in 2,451 innings. He was just a one-time All-Star, and the only season in which he received Cy Young votes was 1997, when he finished third thanks to his 20 wins. However, he was a durable, above average pitcher in a time when those haven't been easy to find. In his 12 seasons, he threw 200 innings nine times and posted an ERA+ better than the league average 10 times. He had the best walk rate of any starter active at the end of the 2006 season.
