Raul Ibanez's recent power surge continued Saturday, as he launched a solo homer in a loss to the Indians.
Ibanez had two home runs through his first 19 games this season, but he now has six over his last seven. The 40-year-old shouldn't be owned in shallow mixed leagues, but he might be worth a try in deeper formats while he's hot.

Raul Ibanez remained red hot in Friday's extra-inning loss to the Indians, going 3-for-5 with a two-run homer.
The sixth inning blast off Rich Hill was his seventh of the season, and knotted the game at 3-3. He's now homered five times and driven in 13 runs in his last six games. Despite the recent success however, he's still hitting .235/.278/.541 on the season and remains a spot play at best in most fantasy leagues.

Raul Ibanez hit two home runs and tallied six RBI as the Mariners beat the Yankees 12-2 on Wednesday.
Ibanez broke the game open with a grand slam in the first inning and added a two-run homer in the fifth. The veteran outfielder now has four homers in four games after hitting just two in his first 19 starts. His platoon situation in Seattle and his decreased production doesn't make him an option outside of AL-only leagues, though.

Raul Ibanez singled and belted a two-run homer off of CC Sabathia in Tuesday's loss to the Yankees.
Zero of Ibanez's 19 home runs last season came off of left-handed pitching, so, naturally, he took one of the best lefties in the game deep in this one. Though he's hitting just .211 for the season, Ibanez has a modest five-game hitting streak going and has homered in two of his last three starts.

If everything goes smoothly, the center fielder should be back with Seattle early next week. He has been on the disabled list since April 23 with a hamstring strain.

Felix Hernandez wasn't sharp Sunday, allowing six runs -- five earned -- over just five innings in a loss to the Indians.
King Felix recorded eight strikeouts, but he allowed eight hits and walked a pair. The Mariners' ace left his last outing with a back issue, so it's possible it was an issue for him again today. As long as he's healthy, Hernandez is obviously a good bet to bounce back against the Rangers his next time out.

Aaron Harang was lit up for seven runs in 3 2/3 innings by the Angels on Tuesday.
Josh Hamilton and Howie Kendrick homered off him. Harang fell to 1-5 with an 8.58 ERA. The Mariners need to make a switch here, whether it's Jeremy Bonderman, Hector Noesi or James Paxton as the replacement. Erasmo Ramirez still isn't healthy, unfortunately.

Mariners transferred RHP Stephen Pryor from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list.
Pryor now won't be eligible to return until mid-June, but he wasn't going to be ready before then, anyway. The hard-thrower recently resumed his throwing program but has yet to test things out from a mound.

Kinney has been on the shelf all season because of a stress reaction in his left shoulder and rib cage. He's likely to spend around two weeks in the minor leagues.
