Indians signed LHP Michael Tejera to a minor league contract and assigned him to Double-A Akron.
Tereja was pitching in the Mexican League this year for Quintana Roo and Monterey, where he was 5-1 with a 3.57 ERA in 15 games (13 starts). It looks like he'll provide organizational depth, but that's about it.

Pirates signed LHP Michael Tejera to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.
Some added depth for Indianapolis. Tejera, 30, last appeared in the majors with the Rangers in June 2005. He was 8-5 with a 3.80 ERA in 13 starts and 22 relief appearances for Triple-A Fresno last season.

Giants signed LHP Michael Tejera to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.
Tejera, 29, had a 3.79 ERA in 59 1/3 innings for Triple-A Oklahoma last season. He also spent three days with the Rangers and gave up three runs in two innings. Expect him to be assigned to Fresno.

Rangers sent LHP Michael Tejera outright to Triple-A Oklahoma.
Except for a three-day stint with the Rangers in June, Tejeda spent the season at Oklahoma, finishing with a 3.79 ERA in 59 1/3 IP. He's hoping MLB expands to 36 teams sometime in the near future.

Lou Marson (shoulder) admitted Monday that there is no timetable for his return to the Indians' active roster.
Marson has begun throwing but is not yet performing any other baseball activities due to lingering soreness in his shoulder and neck. "It's definitely frustrating," the catcher told MLB.com. "I know what it is and kind of what I have to do. Hopefully, I can get on the field soon."

Myers threw 33 pitches last week in his first rehab start and will probably try to top 50 pitches on Wednesday. He'll make at least one more start in the minors after that before being considered for activation. The right-hander is attempting to pitch through a UCL tear.

Indians placed RHP Josh Tomlin on the 60-day disabled list with a right elbow injury.
The move was made in order to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for the arrival of Michael Bourn. Tomlin is recovering from Tommy John surgery and is expected to miss the entire 2013 campaign.

Blake Wood (elbow) will continue his minor league rehab assignment Wednesday with Class A Lake County.
Wood felt some soreness in his surgically-repaired elbow during his first appearance on Saturday, but it was only a minor scare. The 27-year-old right-hander is currently in recovery mode from Tommy John surgery and will likely need a handful of appearances before he's a legitimate consideration for the major league roster.

The move clears a spot for the newly-claimed Robert Whitenack on the 40-man roster. Herrmann had Tommy John surgery in March and will miss the entire 2013 season.
