Fernando Rodney continued his brilliant run of pitching on Tuesday night, sending the Blue Jays down in order to pick up his 14th save of the season.

He fanned two of the three hitters that he faced. Rodney is now a perfect 14-for-14 in save chances with a microscopic 0.44 ERA. It appears that he has done enough to secure the ninth-inning job for the long haul. Even when Kyle Farnsworth returns. May 22 - 11:34 PM

Chirinos was concussed by a foul tip late in spring training. He won't be eligible to return until May 26, though it's possible he won't have a spot on the 25-man roster if the Rays end up liking what they see from Chris Gimenez. Apr 19

	2	Brandon Allen D.L. Brandon Allen (quad) is scheduled to begin a minor league rehab assignment Thursday at Single-A. Allen was placed on the 15-day disabled list last Thursday after suffering a right quad strain. The 26-year-old is on track to be activated when first eligible. May 17

	2	Jeff Keppinger D.L. Rays manager Joe Maddon said Monday night that Jeff Keppinger (toe) will miss three to four weeks. Keppinger was placed on the disabled list Monday with a broken big right toe. Sean Rodriguez, Elliot Johnson and Will Rhymes should play pretty regularly in the Rays' infield for now. May 21

3B	1	Evan Longoria D.L. Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports that Evan Longoria (hamstring) "might be ahead of schedule." The only other detail Topkin offered is that "an early return is still June." Longo has been pegged for a late June return, but perhaps he'll make it back a little sooner than that. He recently played catch and fielded ground balls on his knees, but the real test will come when he starts running again. May 20

LF	1	Desmond Jennings D.L. Rays manager Joe Maddon said Desmond Jennings (knee) had a "great day" of activity Tuesday but will "probably not" be ready for activation Sunday. An earlier report indicated that his activation over the weekend was expected, but apparently he won't quite be ready. It sounds like Jennings is coming along nicely and should be good to go early next week. May 22
	2	Sam Fuld D.L. Sam Fuld said the follow-up exam on his surgically-repaired right wrist went well and that he could begin swinging a bat in early June. Fuld is currently working his way back from April wrist surgery. Barring any setbacks, he could be ready to return at some point in August. May 23

The Rays initially provided a 4-6 week timetable for Niemann, who suffered a fractured right fibula Monday, but he'll have to sit out at least two months now. 	9	Matt Bush Suspended A judge in Charlotte County, Florida has reduced Matt Bush's bail from $1.015 million to $440,000. The number is still probably out of Bush's price range, considering the reports that he had only $2,000 left in his bank account when he struck a 72-year-old motorcyclist in March while drunk. The former No. 1 overall pick is facing charges of DUI, hit-and-run and property damage. He's likely done with professional baseball for good. May 3
