David Ross hit a solo home run in Sunday's 2-0 win over the Rays.
Ross' third inning solo shot off of David Price in a 0-0 game proved to be the difference. It was Ross' second home run of the season in just 37 plate appearances, while he's now batting .303/.378/.576. Excellent numbers, but Ross doesn't play enough to be worth owning in even the deepest of NL-only leagues.

David Ross belted a solo home run and added an RBI single in Thursday's win over the Mets.
The Braves didn't lose a beat with Brian McCann getting a rest for the second game of the doubleheader. Ross has provided decent production in a backup role this year, hitting .264 with six longballs.

David Ross will get an off day Sunday.
Recently recalled J.C. Boscan will get the start. Tommy Hanson will be on the mound for Boscan's third career game.

Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez said Monday that David Ross will catch most of Jair Jurrjens' starts moving forward.
The obvious caveat is that Brian McCann may get the start in a favorable matchup. Jurrjens has a 2.51 ERA in 11 games with Ross behind the plate compared to a 3.39 ERA in 72 games with McCann, so there's not a huge disparity, but this is at least a way for the former to get regular work behind the plate.

David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution writes that Chipper Jones (calf) is "worse today than before."
Jones hasn't started since suffering a left calf contusion when he was smacked in the leg by a line drive off the bat of Rays' outfielder B.J. Upton last Friday. According to O'Brien, the stiffness moved up in his calf after they "milked" the contusion on Wednesday. We're not sure what that means exactly, but it certainly sounds gross. He remains sidelined indefinitely.

Braves placed RHP Arodys Vizcaino on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to March 26, with a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow.
It's a procedural move, as Vizcaino underwent Tommy John surgery earlier this month. The hard-throwing right-hander will hope to make it back for the start of 2013.

Braves placed LHP Robert Fish on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to March 26, with left elbow tendinitis.
Fish made three appearances this spring before being shut down due to soreness. The 24-year-old left-hander was selected from the Angels in December's Rule 5 Draft, but the Braves get to keep him around as long as he's on the disabled list.
