Travis Hafner went 1-for-3 with a home run Sunday against the Angels.
Hafner walked in his first plate appearance and hit a three-run shot off Jered Weaver in the third inning. It was his first home run since June 5. Hafner is batting just .052 (1-for-19) over his last seven games.
Jun 16 - 6:59 PM
Travis Hafner had his fourth straight hitless game Wednesday, going 0-for-4 with two strikeouts.
Hafner is 4-for-27 this month, and he's batting .170 in 94 at-bats since the beginning of May. If the Yankees ever do get healthy, one wonders if there will still be a role for Hafner after the All-Star break.
Jun 13 - 1:35 AM
Travis Hafner is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Indians.
Not a huge surprise with Scott Kazmir on the hill for Cleveland. Robinson Cano is serving as the DH on Tuesday while David Adams plays second base.

Travis Hafner had a pair of RBI singles in Tuesday's loss to the Orioles.
Hafner plated runs in the first and fourth innings, but they were the only tallies the Yankees could muster in the extra innings loss. Pronk dealt with a shoulder issue last week, but he appears to be fine now, having homered twice and driven in two runs in each of his three games since returning to action.

Francisco Cervelli
D.L.
Francisco Cervelli (hand) has played catch and caught a few bullpens, but it's unclear when he'll be allowed to begin swinging a bat.
"He’s just trying to get his hand stronger so he can do everything," Yankees manager Joe Girardi said. Girardi added that he's not sure whether Cervelli will be ready to return before the All-Star break.

Mark Teixeira
D.L.
Yankees placed 1B Mark Teixeira on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to June 16, with right wrist inflammation.
An MRI over the weekend didn't reveal any new damage in the wrist, but he was given a cortisone shot and will now get some extended rest. The Yankees are hopeful that he'll be able to play through the condition for the entire season, but the possibility of surgery still looms. Lyle Overbay will fill in at first base once again.

Derek Jeter
D.L.
Derek Jeter (ankle) participated in hitting and fielding drills Friday at the Yankees' spring training complex.
Jeter hit off a tee and took swings in an indoor cage before resuming light infield work. It was the first time he has done any baseball activities since mid-April. Assuming he avoids setbacks, Jeter could be ready to rejoin the Yankees' lineup in about six weeks.
Jun 15
2
Eduardo Nunez
D.L.
Eduardo Nunez (oblique) has resumed baseball activities.
Nunez, on the DL since May 6, took indoor batting practice and fielded grounders at the Yankees' spring training complex. It's still not clear when he'll be sent on a rehab assignment, but he remains on track to be activated from the disabled list in early July.

Alex Rodriguez
D.L.
Alex Rodriguez (hip) is scheduled to face live pitching for the first time this year on Tuesday in Tampa.
A-Rod is finally beginning to take major strides in his recovery from January hip surgery. He ran the bases at 75 percent effort over the weekend and is now ready to begin working on his timing at the plate. The veteran third baseman will be activated from the disabled list shortly after the All-Star break if everything continues to go according to plan with his rehab.
Jun 17
2
Kevin Youkilis
D.L.
Kevin Youkilis has a herniated disc in his back and will undergo surgery to repair it on Thursday.
He is expected to need about 10-12 weeks of rest and rehab, which puts his season in jeopardy. It's another brutal blow to the Yankees, who have been without third baseman Alex Rodriguez (hip) all year. Youkilis was batting .219/.305/.343 with two home runs and eight RBI in 28 games as A-Rod's fill-in at the hot corner.

Curtis Granderson
D.L.
Curtis Granderson will have the pin removed from his fractured left pinkie finger this Thursday.
Granderson should then be cleared for light workouts. The outfielder has been on the disabled list (and mostly idle) since May 25 and is not expected to be ready to rejoin the Yankees until after the All-Star break.
