Miguel Cabrera hit his 12th home run of the season Tuesday in the Tigers' win over the Indians.
The home run raised his RBI total to a ridiculous 49, and he's now hitting .384/.455/.667 on the season. A Triple Crown is a rare feat, but Cabrera may actually be an odds-on favorite to repeat this year with how he's hitting.

Miguel Cabrera went 4-for-4 with three home runs and five RBI in Sunday night's loss to the Rangers.
Cabrera launched a three-run homer in the third inning and a solo shot in the fifth off Derek Holland before he added a third home run late off Tanner Scheppers. The weather conditions at Arlington obviously played a factor, but it was a monster of a performance. Cabrera is currently on track to have a better season than his Triple Crown winning campaign in 2012. He has 11 home runs and leads the American League in batting average (.387), runs (34), and slugging-percentage (.659).

Miguel Cabrera went 3-for-4 with an RBI double and a run scored, leading the Tigers to a 2-1 victory over the Rangers in Arlington on Friday.
It marked the sixth time already this season that Cabrera has had at least three hits in a game. It’s hard to believe, but he’s off to an even better start than he was at this point of the season during his Triple Crown winning campaign in 2012. He’ll head into play on Saturday hitting a cool .376/.447/.606 with eight homers and 42 RBI.

Miguel Cabrera went 2-for-3 with his eighth home run of the season as the Tigers beat the Astros on Tuesday.
The home run was just a solo shot, so Cabrera only has 41 RBI to show for himself through May 14. He also doubled in the game, and he's hitting .375 on the year. There's nothing to say about the slugger that hasn't already been said. He's simply the best in the game right now.

Tigers placed OF Austin Jackson on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring.
Jackson is expected to need the full 15 days. Avisail Garcia was called up from Triple-A Toledo in a corresponding roster move and will get regular playing time in the Detroit outfield over the next two-plus weeks. Jackson was batting .272/.333/.371 with two homers, 11 RBI, five stolen bases and 33 runs scored in 34 games.

Dotel was given medication and shut down for six days after Dr. James Andrews determined earlier this month that he had no structural damage in his right elbow. The righty will eventually head out on a rehab assignment, though it's unclear when that will happen. He should return sometime next month if he can avoid setbacks.
