Kevin Gregg underwent an MRI on his right side, which came back clean.
The Orioles need to make a roster move now that Robert Andino is back from the paternity leave list, but it won't involve Gregg. Still, the veteran right-hander has looked terrible so far this year and hasn't pitched since April 18, so it probably won't be long before the O's finally decide to cut bait.

Kevin Gregg has yielded eight hits and five earned runs through 4 2/3 innings this season.
Gregg has also walked five batters against just two strikeouts and is sporting a 9.64 ERA. It's safe to wonder whether the 33-year-old right-hander will have a major league job by the middle of this summer.

Kevin Gregg allowed a run in an inning out of the pen Friday against the Red Sox.
Jim Johnson's early spring injury and subsequent slow start have opened the door for Gregg, but he hasn't exactly jumped through it while allowing three runs in five innings. The Orioles would still prefer to shed a portion of his salary by trading him.

Kevin Gregg began his spring by giving up a two-run homer to Matt Hague in an inning of work Monday against the Pirates.
Matt Lindstrom wasn't any better, giving up three runs (two earned) on three hits and a walk. Gregg gave up two hits and the long ball, but he was at least able to strike out the side. The O's would probably love to unload the 33-year-old right-hander after he posted a 4.37 ERA and 53/40 K/BB ratio over 59 2/3 innings last season, but that's unlikely to happen as he's owed $5.8 million this season. Jim Johnson is the favorite to close games for Baltimore.

Teagarden hasn't played at all this season due to a slight ligament tear in his lower back. His condition has improved somewhat since receiving three epidural injections, but there's no timetable for his return.

Brian Roberts (head) drew two walks in two plate appearances Wednesday at Double-A Bowie.
Roberts also scored a run and had a couple of defensive assists at second base in what was his minor league rehab debut. The 34-year-old hasn't appeared in a major league game in over a year and is likely to spend more than two weeks in the O's farm system. He's probably not worth a stash in most fantasy formats.

Mark Reynolds (oblique) is getting close to beginning a minor league rehab assignment.
Reynolds is currently doing baseball activities at the Orioles' complex in Sarasota, including tee work and fielding. Orioles manager Buck Showalter previous indicated that he could come off the disabled list by the end of the month.

Nolan Reimold (neck) is scheduled to receive a second epidural injection Friday.
Reimold has expressed some uncertainty about the need for a second shot, but he now appears to be leaning toward getting it. The 28-year-old received his first injection on May 11, but his neck condition is still causing left thumb and forearm numbness and shoulder pain. His return to the Orioles is not considered imminent.

Orioles placed Endy Chavez on the 15-day disabled list with a sore intercostal muscle.
The Orioles are calling up Tommy Hunter to start Game 2 of Thursday's doubleheader in place of Jason Hammel. Since Hunter hasn't been down for 10 days, he can only replace an injured player. Chavez, who suffered the injury Tuesday, will hit the shelf to make that happen. Chavez is batting just .133/.175/.167 this year.

Zach Britton (shoulder) is scheduled to make two minor league rehab starts with Double-A Bowie before being reevaluated.
He'll make his first rehab start Saturday and another one next Thursday. If the Orioles are happy with what they see, it's possible he could be activated from the disabled list. The 24-year-old southpaw has been sidelined all season with a left shoulder impingement.

Tsuyoshi Wada underwent successful Tommy John surgery on Friday.
The surgery was performed by Dr. Lewis Yocum in Los Angeles. The 31-year-old left-hander will miss the rest of the season and possibly the early part of the 2013 campaign.

Matt Lindstrom said Monday that he no longer has pain in his finger and hopes to begin throwing this week.
Lindstrom has been on the disabled list since May 11 with a partial tear of the rear ligament in his right middle finger. He should be back in the bigs by mid-June.
