Edwin Jackson gave up just one run in six innings to earn a 3-1 win over the Giants on Saturday.
He struck out five batters, walked one and surrendered five base hits, including a solo home run by second baseman Joe Panik in the first inning. Jackson was released by the Orioles after making three relief appearances early in the season. He signed with the Nationals, spent time in the minor leagues and is now back in the majors having success as a starter with one of the best teams in baseball.
