Alex Rios hit a two-run homer and scored a pair of runs in Wednesday's win over the Twins.
The bomb was Rios' first since Chicago's second game of the season on April 7. His power output has obviously been severely lacking, but Rios has actually done a decent job of bouncing back from his disastrous 2011, batting .268/.329/.386 through Chicago's first 44 games. With only 17 RBI and four stolen bases, however, he hasn't exactly been a fantasy dynamo.

Alex Rios' RBI triple off Chris Perez in the 10th inning put the White Sox ahead for good in Tuesday's 5-3 victory over the Indians.
Rios finished the evening 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI, and also picked up his fourth stolen base of the season. After struggling early on this season, Rios has suddenly found a groove. He raised his batting average up to .294 with the three-hit effort on Tuesday night.

Alex Rios went 3-for-4 with a triple and three RBI in Sunday's 7-4 win over the Mariners.
Rios' two-run triple in the sixth tied the game and he then scored the go-ahead run on a sac fly. He's bouncing back well after last season's nightmare, as he's currently riding a ten-game hit streak and has his average at .333 on the year.

Alex Rios is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Indians.
We're assuming it's just a routine day off for Rios, who is 2-for-13 with a homer so far this season. Kosuke Fukudome will make the start in right field and bat seventh against right-hander Justin Masterson.

Brent Morel will not need surgery to repair a lumbar back strain.
"My pain is more extension, so if I was to bend back or when I get in a ready position [on defense], and it's more ... called something like the facet or the knuckle around the disc, which is really good news," Morel said. "They were happy to find that out. It's never operated on. It can be controlled very easily in the training room, and by calming it down." Morel will begin new back exercises Thursday, a process he'll continue for 4-5 days. After that, he'll be allowed to hit and throw before going out on a rehab assignment.

John Danks said he is currently dealing with soreness behind his left shoulder.
Danks has been scratched from Friday's start against the Indians and is expected to be placed on the disabled list. Jose Quintana will be called up from Double-A Birmingham to pitch in his place Friday. It's clear how long Danks has been pitching through the soreness, but this would certainly explain why he has struggled so much in the early going. The southpaw hopes to return on June 4, but White Sox manager Robin Ventura seems to think he won't need a minor league rehab assignment.
