Mike Adams returned to action on Monday, facing the minimum number of batters in one inning of work.
Previously sidelined with a respiratory infection, Adams looked like his old self against the Mariners, fanning two while throwing 11 of 15 pitches for strikes. He has a 2.35 ERA and 1.04 WHIP on the season.

Adams was diagnosed this past weekend with a respiratory infection, but he's been prescribed medication and will work through it. "I'm getting better," the 31-year-old setup man told reporters Sunday.

Mike Adams (respiratory infection) is expected to be unavailable again Sunday but should be ready to pitch Monday.
Adams actually told Rangers manager Ron Washington that he feels good enough to pitch Sunday, but Wash wants to give him one more day. He'll have missed the entire three-game set against the Astros.

Mike Adams is suffering from a respiratory infection.
He likely will not be available Saturday. Adams got an X-ray and CAT Scan on his chest on Friday. "Hard to recover right now," he said. Joe Nathan has pitched in four straight games, so he's presumably not available Saturday against the Astros either. Alexi Ogando could be in line for a save, as could Koji Uehara.

Rangers general manager Jon Daniels said Neftali Feliz has an ulnar collateral ligament sprain in his right elbow.
His injury had been described just as inflammation. It's always concerning when the UCL is involved, but evidently Feliz's ligament isn't bad enough to require surgery. He'll be shut down for at least a month and isn't expected to return to the Rangers until after the All-Star break. Daniels also mentioned that it's possible Feliz's role could change upon his return.
