Phil Hughes picked up his first spring victory since 2011 after allowing one run in four innings Tuesday against the Orioles.
He allowed just one hit, but it was a Chris Davis solo homer. While he probably couldn't care less, Hughes had been 1-7 in 20 starts and six relief appearances since 2009, including 0-3 since 2012. Being spring training, you can be pulled after one or two innings and still qualify for the victory. It just hadn't happened for Hughes in a long time. Mar 17 - 6:13 PM
