MLB.com's Brittany Ghiroli expects Troy Patton and Zach Phillips to make the Orioles' Opening Day roster.
Patton is out of options and would be exposed to waivers if he doesn't make the team. Phillips' bullpen spot is looking pretty secure after an impressive spring, and could be used as a long reliever if needed.

Troy Patton (arm fatigue) is scheduled to pitch in Tuesday's game against the Rays.
Patton hasn't pitched since Thursday due to arm fatigue, but it shouldn't be a lingering issue. The 28-year-old left-hander is out of options this spring, so he has a decent shot to win a bullpen spot on the O's Opening Day roster.

Troy Patton will miss a game on September 22 to to attend mandatory orientation for a Drug and Alcohol class.
Patton, 25, was arrested in January for a DWI. Assuming he completes the process, the DWI will be expunged from his record.

Orioles activated RHP Troy Patton from the restricted list.
Patton spent all day Monday taking care of issues related to his winter DWI arrest. The 25-year-old lefty has a 3.86 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in 11 relief appearances this year.

Taylor Teagarden will get a second opinion on his back injury from back specialist Dr. Andrew Dossett in Dallas.
Teagarden hasn't played at all this season due to a slight ligament tear in his lower back. His condition has improved somewhat since receiving three epidural injections, but there's no timetable for his return.

Brian Roberts (head) drew two walks in two plate appearances Wednesday at Double-A Bowie.
Roberts also scored a run and had a couple of defensive assists at second base in what was his minor league rehab debut. The 34-year-old hasn't appeared in a major league game in over a year and is likely to spend more than two weeks in the O's farm system. He's probably not worth a stash in most fantasy formats.

Mark Reynolds (oblique) is getting close to beginning a minor league rehab assignment.
Reynolds is currently doing baseball activities at the Orioles' complex in Sarasota, including tee work and fielding. Orioles manager Buck Showalter previous indicated that he could come off the disabled list by the end of the month.

Nolan Reimold (neck) is scheduled to receive a second epidural injection Friday.
Reimold has expressed some uncertainty about the need for a second shot, but he now appears to be leaning toward getting it. The 28-year-old received his first injection on May 11, but his neck condition is still causing left thumb and forearm numbness and shoulder pain. His return to the Orioles is not considered imminent.

Orioles placed Endy Chavez on the 15-day disabled list with a sore intercostal muscle.
The Orioles are calling up Tommy Hunter to start Game 2 of Thursday's doubleheader in place of Jason Hammel. Since Hunter hasn't been down for 10 days, he can only replace an injured player. Chavez, who suffered the injury Tuesday, will hit the shelf to make that happen. Chavez is batting just .133/.175/.167 this year.

Zach Britton (shoulder) is scheduled to make two minor league rehab starts with Double-A Bowie before being reevaluated.
He'll make his first rehab start Saturday and another one next Thursday. If the Orioles are happy with what they see, it's possible he could be activated from the disabled list. The 24-year-old southpaw has been sidelined all season with a left shoulder impingement.

Tsuyoshi Wada underwent successful Tommy John surgery on Friday.
The surgery was performed by Dr. Lewis Yocum in Los Angeles. The 31-year-old left-hander will miss the rest of the season and possibly the early part of the 2013 campaign.

Lindstrom has been on the disabled list since May 11 with a partial tear of the rear ligament in his right middle finger. He should be back in the bigs by mid-June.
