Gio Gonzalez spun seven innings of one-run ball in a no-decision against the Indians on Friday.
Gonzalez allowed just three hits while the only damage came on a solo homer by Ryan Raburn in the fourth inning. The southpaw fanned eight and walked four in the no-decision. While he's winless over his last seven starts, he has allowed more than three runs in just one of them. He'll face the Phillies next week in Philadelphia.

Gio Gonzalez racked up seven strikeouts against the Twins on Saturday but settled for a no-decision after allowing three runs (two earned) over six innings.
The Twins scratched out a pair of runs in the fourth inning with the help of a defensive miscue. Joe Mauer then broke a 2-2 tie with a solo homer in the fifth. Gonzalez is now winless in each of his last six starts dating back to May 12. It won’t get any easier for him next time out as he draws the difficult assignment of taking on the hot-hitting Rockies in Colorado.

Friday's game between the Twins and Nationals has been postponed due to rain.
The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Sunday. It's the Nationals' second rainout in as many nights. Gio Gonzalez and Kevin Correia will be pushed back a day.

Thursday's game between the Mets and Nationals has been postponed due to rain.
No makeup date has been announced. The Nationals will push Gio Gonzalez back a day, while the Mets will move Shaun Marcum to Saturday and keep Matt Harvey on turn Friday. It also likely means the Nats won't have to call up Ross Ohlendorf to start Saturday.

Manager Davey Johnson initially suggested it could add weeks to his timetable, but that appeared to be a very cautious estimate. Ramos, who has been plagued with recurring hamstring injuries, is hoping to return around the All-Star break.

Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo said on 106.7 The Fan on Wednesday that Bryce Harper (knee) will resume baseball activities in "the next day or two."
Harper continues to make progress, as he was cleared to progress toward running following a visit to the team doctor earlier this week. While he could begin baseball activities within the next couple of days, there's no timetable for him to return to game action. The 20-year-old outfielder has been sidelined since May 26 with left knee bursitis.

Ryan Mattheus is expected to be sidelined 4-6 weeks with a fractured right hand.
Mattheus won't require surgery, but since the injury is to his pitching hand he can't do a whole lot while out. He'll have to build his arm strength back up once out of his cast.

Christian Garcia (shoulder, forearm) has been shut down from his rehab assignment with Triple-A Syracuse.
Garcia has been dealing with shoulder issues and is expected to receive treatment and be rested as a precautionary measure. The Nationals want Garcia to make four or five straight rehab outings without any problems before returning from the disabled list. Garcia has yet to pitch at the major league level this season due to a partial tendon tear in his forearm. He has a 2.57 ERA and eight strikeouts in seven innings over his first five rehab appearances.
