Ike Davis went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts and two walks Tuesday night in his first game with Triple-A Las Vegas.

Davis was demoted to the minors on Sunday after batting just .161/.242/.258 over his first 55 games this season. The Mets are trying to retool his stance and swing before bringing him back to the majors, so it figures to be a process. Jun 12 - 8:57 AM

Niese allowed six hits and four walks, so it wasn't pretty, but he kept his team in the ballgame. However, a two-run single by opposing pitcher Scott Feldman in the fourth inning was enough to put him on the losing side.
