Matt Garza spun seven shutout innings but was dealt a no-decision in Sunday's loss to the Mets.

Garza was fantastic, permitting just three hits while walking two and striking out five in his best start since returning from the disabled list. Unfortunately, he was unable to pick up his second win after Carlos Marmol coughed up a 3-0 lead in the ninth. The right-hander will be a big trade chip for the Cubs next month as long as he stays healthy. He has a juicy matchup at home against the Astros next weekend. Jun 16 - 4:28 PM

	2	Kyuji Fujikawa D.L. Kyuji Fujikawa underwent Tommy John surgery on Tuesday. The reconstructive elbow procedure was performed by Dr. James Andrews and deemed a success. Fujikawa has already been placed on the 60-day disabled list and is unlikely to be ready to pitch for the Cubs again until June of next season. He signed a two-year, $9.5 million free agent contract with Chicago this past winter. Jun 11

	11	Arodys Vizcaino D.L. Arodys Vizcaino has been ruled out for the season after recently undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right elbow to address a calcium buildup. Vizcaino wasn't progressed as hoped in his recovery from Tommy John surgery, and now we know why. It's a shame that he won't appear for the Cubs in 2013, but the good news is that his ligaments are fine and he should be ready to go for spring training. Vizcaino will be shut down for six weeks before beginning his rehab. May 28
