Yankees sent RHP Jim Miller outright to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

He'll be reevaluated after his two rehab games with Trenton, but there's a chance that he could be activated from the disabled list late next week if all goes well. Teixeira has been sidelined since early March with a torn tendon sheath in his wrist. May 24

SS	1	Derek Jeter D.L. Derek Jeter (ankle) is close to getting the walking boot on his left foot removed again. Jeter had a routine checkup recently and was told his left ankle is healing. Once the boot is removed, he'll be eased into baseball activities again. The future Hall of Famer won't be an option at shortstop for the Yankees until after the All-Star break. May 16
	2	Eduardo Nunez D.L. Eduardo Nunez (rib cage) took batting practice Wednesday. It's the first time he's done so since landing on the DL, as he had been limited to hitting off a tee and taking soft-toss. When Nunez will be ready to return to game action isn't known, but it shouldn't be too far off. May 22

3B	1	Alex Rodriguez D.L. Alex Rodriguez (hip) fielded grounders and took 25 swings in an indoor batting cage Monday at the Yankees' minor league complex in Tampa, Florida. Kicking off his third week of on-field activities following hip surgery, Rodriguez also ran from pole to pole near the warning track four times. "Not bad," said Rodriguez. It's not clear when he'll begin playing in games, but the Yankees hope to have him back around midseason. May 20
	2	Kevin Youkilis D.L. Kevin Youkilis (back) will play in an extended spring training game Saturday. Mark Teixeira is also slated to play as he works his way back from a wrist injury. Youkilis has been sidelined for nearly a month with a lumbar spine strain, but he could rejoin the Yankees late next week if he can avoid setbacks. May 24

LF	1	Curtis Granderson D.L. Yankees placed OF Curtis Granderson on the 15-day disabled list with a fractured fifth metacarpal of his left hand. Granderson suffered the injury when he was hit by a pitch in the fifth inning of Friday night’s game. It's a troubling development for the Yankees, who will now be forced to give extended playing time to Ichiro Suzuki and Brennan Boesch. Granderson is expected to miss a minimum of four weeks. May 25

	2	Hiroki Kuroda Sidelined Yankees manager Joe Girardi said he would be "shocked" if Hiroki Kuroda (calf) was unable to make his next start. Kuroda's calf tightened up on him an inning after he was hit with a comebacker Wednesday, forcing him to leave the game. But he'll be fine. The right-hander is scheduled to face the Mets early next week. May 22
	3	Andy Pettitte D.L. Andy Pettitte (trapezius) played catch Thursday and Friday and is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Saturday. Pettitte was placed on the disabled list last week with a strained trapezius muscle, but he's currently throwing without any discomfort. The veteran left-hander expects to throw a simulated game rather than go out on a minor league rehab assignment. Either way, he should return around when he's first eligible on June 1. May 24

	6	David Phelps Sidelined David Phelps was diagnosed with a right forearm contusion. Phelps was removed from his start against the Rays in the eighth inning on Friday after being drilled on the forearm by a line drive. However, X-rays ruled out anything serious. It sounds like he'll be fine to make his next scheduled start against the Mets, but Ivan Nova is a candidate to replace him if the Yankees decide to play it safe. May 24
	7	Michael Pineda D.L. Michael Pineda (shoulder) threw five innings Thursday in a start at extended spring training. Pineda's fastball sat near 93 mph all afternoon and he reported no issues with his surgically-repaired shoulder. The right-hander is expected to make one more start at the Yankees' spring complex before heading out on a minor league rehab assignment. He should be stashed right now in leagues with big roster allotments. May 23
