Nolan Reimold is looking to make a comeback in 2018, per ESPN's Jerry Crasnick.
Reimold had signed with the Long Island Ducks of the independent Atlantic League in April before retiring in late May, but apparently he couldn't stay away. The 34-year-old has new representation, signing with agent Joshua Kusnick, and will likely have to settle for a minor league deal and win his way onto a major league roster in spring if he hopes to continue his career.

Nolan Reimold has retired from his playing career.
Reimold was playing with the independent Long Island Ducks where he batted .238/.359/.397 with two home runs and seven RBI over 19 games. The 33-year-old played almost his entire career with the Orioles and showed some promise early on before injuries got in the way. He walks away with a .246/.323/.422 batting line and 56 home runs over 480 games.

Nolan Reimold has signed with the Long Island Ducks of the Atlantic League.
Reimold will try his hand in independent ball after striking out in free agency. The 33-year-old enjoyed some success during his eight years in the big leagues (mostly with Baltimore), but struggled to rise above platoon status while often battling injuries. Perhaps he'll earn another chance if things go well in Long Island.

According to Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports, the Orioles haven't shown any interest in bringing back Nolan Reimold.
Reimold, who was a long history with the Orioles, batted just .222/.300/.365 with six homers and 15 RBI over 227 plate appearances last season. He saw the majority of his playing time against lefties, though he only mustered a rough .565 OPS against them. Joey Rickard currently projects to be the right-handed option alongside the lefty-hitting Seth Smith and Hyun Soo Kim for the corner outfield spots.

Jonathan Schoop
10-Day DL
Jonathan Schoop (oblique) could begin playing rehab games in the middle of next week.
Orioles manager Buck Showalter said "If everything continues to progress... he'd probably play in a game in extended spring camp on Wednesday." Schoop feels he is ready to return to game action now but the team wants to hold him back to prevent a set-back. He has been on the disabled list since April 14th and is likely at least 10 days away from a return to the majors. Schoop had a .293 batting average with 32 homers and 105 RBI last year but was off to a slow start in 14 games this season before getting hurt.

10-Day DL
Eduardo A. Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports that Tim Beckham will likely need core surgery and be out for 6-to-7 weeks.
Beckham was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a left groin strain on Wednesday, but it appears the shortstop will be out for significantly longer than that. Expect to see Jace Peterson and Danny Valencia to get most of the reps at third while Beckham is out, with Peterson the favorite to get the bulk of the playing time because of Valencia's defensive faults. We may not see Beckham back with the Orioles until July, with the middle of June being the optimistic return for the 28-year-old infielder.

Mark Trumbo
10-Day DL
Mark Trumbo (quad) is progressing well in his rehab and could return to the Orioles on Tuesday against the Angels.
Trumbo suffered a severe quadriceps strain back in mid-March and has missed the entire regular season thus far. He has been serving a rehab stint at Double-A Bowie in recent days and is expected to spend the weekend with the Triple-A Norfolk squad. If all goes well he will be activated Tuesday for his season debut. He hit 47 home runs in 2016 but halved that with 23 bombs last year.

The move clears a spot for the newly-claimed Jace Peterson on the 40-man roster. Ynoa was diagnosed with shoulder inflammation earlier this month and apparently isn't anywhere close to returning.

60-Day DL
Zach Britton threw a side session today with good results as he continued his rehab for a ruptured Achilles tendon.
Britton is still at least a month away from returning to the Orioles but it is a good sign to see him ramping up his throwing program. The team has struggled in the ninth inning, with Brad Brach and Darren O'Day sharing the closer role in Britton's absence.
