Alcides Escobar went 3-for-5 with a double, stolen base, two runs scored and an RBI in the Royals' 11-4 win over the Angels on Monday.
Entering the contest, the 26-year-old had seen his average fall 40 points since May 5, a stretch where he managed just three singles and no walks. While Escobar is a better real-life player than fantasy commodity, he'll provide enough runs and steals to be of use in mixed formats.

Alcides Escobar went 3-for-4 in the Royals' 7-4 win over the Twins on Tuesday.
Escobar also drove in a run and scored once in the game. The 26-year-old has done a little of everything for the Royals in the early going, stealing three bases and hitting one home run in the team's first seven games. The shortstop is now hitting .313 and, batting in the second spot of the Royals lineup, should continue to steal bases and score runs ad nauseam.

Alcides Escobar went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Friday's blowout win over the Phillies.
Escobar had a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth inning and an RBI double in the ninth. He also drew a walk and stole a base. The 26-year-old doesn't get a lot of attention, but his speed makes him a top-12 option at shortstop in mixed leagues.

It will be his first game action in a week after a bout with back stiffness. Escobar is batting .290/.313/.452 this spring.

Jarrod Dyson has been diagnosed with a mild high ankle sprain and is expected to be sidelined for 2-to-4 weeks.
The 28-year-old speedster had been off to a decent start this season, hitting .268/.286/.561 with a homer, eight RBI and six stolen bases through his first 41 at-bats. While the timetable for recovery is short, any injury to the ankle is something to very closely monitor for a player such as Dyson who derives all of his fantasy value from his speed. David Lough could be worth a look in very deep leagues while Dyson is out.
