Alcides Escobar went 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored, sparking the Royals offense in Friday’s 3-2 victory over the Giants in Game 3 of the World Series.
Escobar jumped on the very first pitch of the night from Tim Hudson, lining a leadoff double into the left field corner. He advanced to third on a ground ball and came around to score on a ground out off the bat of Lorenzo Cain to give the Royals an early advantage. The speedy shortstop then delivered a one-out single in the sixth inning which started a two-run uprising that proved to be the difference in the contest. Oct 24 - 11:37 PM
