Robert Andino went 2-for-5 with a go-ahead RBI single in Friday’s 6-5 win over the Pirates.
Best known for his days with the Orioles, Andino hadn’t appeared in the majors since 2013 prior to this week, but he played the role of unlikely hero when he hit a liner to right-center field to drive in J.T. Realmuto in the top of the ninth inning. The 32-year-old made the start in left field on Friday, but we’re not expecting much in the way of fantasy value here. Coming into Friday’s action, he owned a .232/.294/.318 batting line in the majors. Aug 19 - 11:26 PM
