Tim Lincecum's trip to Coors Field went sour Saturday night, as he allowed six runs on seven hits over five innings in a 10-2 loss.
Lincecum struck out four, walked two and surrendered a two-run homer to Wilin Rosario. The veteran has been all over the place this season, making him impossible to trust in fantasy. He's allowed no runs in three of his nine starts, but four or more in five of them. The inconsistency bears out in his numbers: Lincecum is 3-3 with a 4.70 ERA and 1.42 WHIP.
May 19 - 12:44 AM
Tim Lincecum threw seven scoreless innings in Sunday's win over the Braves.
He allowed two hits, three walks, and finished with seven strikeouts. It's the third time this season that he's went at least seven innings. Lincecum will take a 4.07 ERA into his next start Saturday vs. the Rockies
May 12 - 9:09 PM
Tim Lincecum took a loss to the Phillies after allowing five runs in seven innings on Tuesday.
Lincecum gave up five hits and three runs in the first two innings. All were singles, and three of them stayed in the infield, though that makes Lincecum sound unluckier than he was. In truth, he got what he deserved tonight. It's encouraging that he's posted a much better K/BB ratio of late (he fanned seven and walked three tonight), but he's not dominating anyone.
May 8 - 1:14 AM
Tim Lincecum pitched five innings and allowed five runs Wednesday against the Diamondbacks.
Lincecum went without walking a batter in a start for the first time since June 1, 2011 against the Cardinals. Oddly enough, he struggled in that one, too, giving up five runs in 6 1/3 innings. Lincecum struck out six tonight, but he allowed 10 hits, one of them a three-run homer to Cliff Pennington. In spite of the blip tonight, Lincecum's ERA should keep coming down if he continues to avoid the walk. He's issued six in his last four starts and walking 11 batters in his first two.

Brandon Belt is out of Wednesday's lineup due to back tightness.
It isn't a major concern, but Giants manager Bruce Bochy didn't want to take any chances. Consider him day-to-day for now. Brett Pill is filling in at first base Wednesday.

Giants placed RHP Ryan Vogelsong on the 15-day disabled list with a fractured right hand.
Vogelsong was hit by a pitch while swinging the bat in the fifth inning Tuesday and suffered fractures above and below the top knuckle in his pinkie. He's expected to undergo surgery Tuesday and will likely miss around six weeks. Chad Gaudin is the most likely replacement for the rotation, though the Giants could call up Michael Kickham from Triple-A.
