Sipp's only pitched 12 inning over 18 appearances, so it's not time for Kirk Gibson to panic, but the left-hander will be playing with fire if he can't iron out his control issues. His 3.75 ERA is better than last season's 4.42, but Sipp's peripherals suggest that he was a better hurler in 2012. The improvement in ERA is entirely tied to Sipp keeping the ball in play. Kennedy doesn't think he deserved 10 games for his role in last week's brawl with the Dodgers, but with the D'Backs having a couple off days over the next week, it makes sense to drop the appeal. He'll be eligible to return on June 29. Jun 17
	2	Brandon McCarthy D.L. Brandon McCarthy (shoulder) will throw a bullpen session on Tuesday. It will be his first since a nagging shoulder injury sent him to the disabled list in late May. McCarthy was cleared to throw from the bump after long-tossing from 105 on Monday with no issues. It's not clear when he might be ready for a rehab assignment, but a return early next month seems likely. Jun 17
	3	Trevor Cahill Sidelined Trevor Cahill (hip) is expected to be ready for his next start. Cahill had to leave Wednesday's game after taking a first-inning Marcell Ozuna line drive off his right hip. His removal was a precaution, though, and he'll be fine for a start early next week against the Nationals. Jun 19

	6	Daniel Hudson D.L. Daniel Hudson has suffered a re-tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow. Terrible news. Hudson, who had Tommy John surgery last July, suffered the re-tear during an extended spring training start on Tuesday. The 26-year-old right-hander was originally hoping to rejoin the Diamondbacks' rotation around midseason, he's now likely facing another surgery and an additional year of recovery time. Just brutal. If you had him stashed in a DL spot in your fantasy league, feel free to drop him now. Jun 7

Heath Bell has been scored upon in each of his last three outings and seems likely to cede the closer job back to Putz. Jun 18

	4	Matt Reynolds D.L. Matt Reynolds has been diagnosed with a slight tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow. Reynolds will receive a second opinion, but the plan for now is to shut him down for six weeks before he can hopefully begin a throwing program. Of course, anytime the UCL is compromised, the possibility of Tommy John surgery is there. Either way, it's unfortunate for the D'Backs bullpen, as Reynolds holds a 1.98 ERA and 1.10 WHIP this season. Jun 11
