Blue Jays signed 1B Jake Fox to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
The 32-year-old spent the 2014 season split between Double-A Reading in the Phillies organization, Laguna in the Mexican League and Somerset in the Independent Atlantic League. He certainly mashed the ball at all three stops though, combining to hit .309/.387/.592 with 38 homers and 118 RBI in 140 games. He's never been able to figure out major league pitching, but the Blue Jays have a long history of success with similar reclamation projects. Fri, Dec 12, 2014 08:48:00 PM
