Jair Jurrjens (thumb) is scheduled to return to the rotation at Triple-A Norfolk this Friday.
Jurrjens was scratched from his previous turn because of some mild soreness in his right thumb. It was never a serious concern for the Norfolk medical staff. The righty has a 4.09 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 44/20 K/BB ratio through 66 innings this season in the International League.

Jurrjens is currently dealing with a sore right thumb, so he has presumably been scratched. It's not known when he'll pitch next.

He's dealing with right thumb carpal metacarpal synovitis. Jurrjens is considered day-to-day, so he shouldn't be out long.

Jurrjens allowed four earned runs over five innings Saturday in a spot start against the Rays. The 27-year-old right-hander will probably get another shot soon.

Reimold has been sidelined for just over a month due to a straight right hamstring, but he's finally ready to return to game action. The 29-year-old should rejoin the Orioles' lineup by the end of the month.

Orioles manager Buck Showalter said that Jason Hammel (illness) is unlikely to start Tuesday against the Tigers.
Hammel was scratched from his start on Monday due to a stomach virus and is still getting his strength back. While Jake Arrieta is filling in on Monday, the Orioles could call up Zach Britton to start on Tuesday. Hammel is likely to be pushed back to Friday.

Chen, out since May 27 with a right oblique strain, threw off a full mound Monday and is scheduled to pitch a simulated game Thursday. The Orioles will likely want him to make at least one rehab start before coming off the disabled list.

Johnson will need at least three weeks of recovery time. He suffered the injury Wednesday night during a relief appearance against the Astros and will leave behind an 8.49 ERA. The Orioles have recalled outfielder Xavier Avery to fill the vacant roster spot.
