Luis Valbuena finished 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs and three RBI in Saturday's home loss against Tampa Bay.
Valbuena homered in back-to-back games from June 17-20, and then he managed just one homer and four RBI over his past 17 outings. He has struggled with consistency all season and he is still hitting just .188 overall. Valbuena has been plagued by injuries this season and he just hasn't seemed to be able to get into a groove at any point so far. Perhaps Saturday's game will be the jump start he needs.
