Norichika Aoki finished 3-for-5 with two doubles, three RBI and two steals against the Pirates on Monday.
Aoki filled the boxscore tonight with his seventh multihit game in his last 10 starts. He has his average back up to .299 now after spending the second half of April in a slump, and he's walked (13) more times than he's struck out (10) this season.

Aoki is hitting just .171 (6-for-35) over his last nine games, so he'll get a day off to regroup. Logan Schafer will start in his place in right field.

Norichika Aoki went 1-for-3 and stole his third base of the season in a losing effort against the Cardinals on Friday.
Aoki also walked in the game. He was the only hitter to reach base in seven innings against opposing starter Shelby Miller. Building off a strong rookie campaign in 2012, Aoki is hitting .385/.455/.538 on the young season.

Norichika Aoki is hitting .389/.450/.556 with a home run and two stolen bases this season.
Aoki had a surprisingly productive rookie season, both from a real life and fantasy perspective, and he's followed it up with a fine start to his sophomore campaign. It wouldn't be a surprise to see him sitting around 10 homers and 30 steals again by the end of the year.

Hart has begun running recently without assistance, but he's just not going to be far enough along in a couple weeks to be activated from the 60-day DL. The first baseman is more likely to return within the first couple weeks of June.

It's a procedural move, as Gamel required surgery in early March to repair a torn right ACL and is expected to miss the entire 2013 season. The Brewers now have an opening on their 40-man roster.

It's a move made in order to clear 40-man roster space for Francisco Rodriguez. Green is out for the season after undergoing hip surgery last month.

Chris Narveson (finger) threw a bullpen session over the weekend in Cincinnati and is scheduled for another one while the Brewers are in Pittsburgh.

The 30-year-old southpaw has been one of the few dependable arms in the Brewers' bullpen this season, boasting a 2.30 ERA and 0.89 WHIP over his first 15 2/3 innings. Mike Fiers has been recalled to take his place.

Mark Rogers (shoulder) has been pulled from his minor league rehab assignment.
Rogers had a rough 11.12 ERA and 1/8 K/BB ratio in 5 2/3 innings with Double-A Huntsville and left his most recent appearance on Tuesday due to tingling in his right arm. The 27-year-old has a long injury history and began the season on the disabled list with what was termed as right shoulder instability. He has been sent back to Phoenix for further testing, after which we should know more about the next step.
