Nick Noonan is traveling to Pittsburgh to join the Giants for Tuesday's game against the Pirates.
Pablo Sandoval (foot) is expected to be placed on the disabled list, so Noonan will presumably replace him on the active roster. The 24-year-old is hitting .203/.254/.220 in 37 games with the Giants this season and can be ignored in most fantasy leagues.

Noonan was a surprise addition to the Giants' Opening Day roster this spring and stuck around for a little over two months despite batting .203/.254/.220 in 37 games. The 24-year-old is better off playing every day.

Nick Noonan went 3-for-5 with three singles and two runs scored in Thursday's win over the Cubs.
Noonan, who started at second base in order to give Marco Scutaro a day off, is 5-for-11 (.455) to begin his major league career. The 23-year-old should do fine as a utility infielder, but he's unlikely to be fantasy relevant unless there's an injury.

Ryan Vogelsong will have an exam on Tuesday in hopes that he'll be allowed to remove two of the five pins from his surgically-repaired right hand.
"Hopefully there's some pins coming out tomorrow," he said Monday. "That's the plan, but obviously I don't know for sure until I get some X-rays tomorrow and see how things are healing." If Vogelsong is able to get the pins removed, he'll begin additional mobility exercises. The Giants are hoping to get him back in late July.
