Jeff Locke pitched a three-hitter for his first career complete game as the Pirates drubbed the Marlins 10-0 on Monday.
Locke hadn't completed any of his previous 100 major league starts. The left-hander was looking like the obvious choice to be bounced from the Pirates rotation when the team promoted Jameson Taillon or Tyler Glasnow, but this certainly complicates things a bit. He lowered his ERA from 5.08 to 4.33 tonight. That's better than what Jon Niese (4.42), Francisco Liriano (4.63) or Juan Nicasio (4.79 (or 4.21 if Andrew McCutchen hadn't whined about an error) have done. May 30 - 10:06 PM
