The Nationals continue to try to trade John Lannan and Chien-Ming Wang, according to Danny Knobler of CBS Sports.

Lannan is almost un-tradeable at this point, unless Washington were to eat all of his $5 million salary and ask for almost nothing in return. Lannan has a 6.10 ERA in six starts for Triple-A Syracuse. Wang is making $4 million and allowed only two runs over seven innings for Syracuse on Wednesday. Washington has had baseball's best rotation to this point with a 2.26 ERA, so Lannan and Wang have almost no chance of cracking it barring injuries. May 10 - 2:28 PM

Leon suffered the injury just four innings into his major league debut Monday when he was involved in a collision with Padres' third baseman Chase Headley at home plate. The timetable for his return isn't clear, but he isn't eligible to come off the disabled list until mid-July. Marrero was already rehabbing a torn left hamstring, but the shoulder injury means he might not be ready to play again for another month or two. The 23-year-old batted .248/.274/.294 with five doubles and 10 RBI in 117 plate appearances for the Nationals down the stretch last season. May 10

	2	Mark DeRosa D.L. Mark DeRosa (oblique) threw and took dry swings Thursday. DeRosa did both at about 50-60 percent, so he's being eased into baseball activities. He will travel with the Nationals on their upcoming road trip and could return from the disabled list late next week. May 17
LF	1	Michael Morse D.L. Nationals manager Davey Johnson said Michael Morse (lat) will "for sure" be ready to be activated from the disabled list for the series against the Red Sox on June 8. It's possible he'll be back before then. "There's some people thinking it might be accelerated ahead of that," Johnson added. "We'll see on Friday how he comes out of that game." Morse will play in his first extended spring training game on Friday, the first game action he's experienced since being shut down on April 11 with a torn right lat muscle. He'll play in two more extended spring games before joining one of the Nats' minor league affiliates to begin a short rehab assignment. May 23

Nationals manager Davey Johnson indicated Monday that because Jayson Werth had surgery so quickly after suffering a broken left wrist, he might be able to cut three weeks off his recovery time. Werth was told the news by the doctor who operated on his wrist at the Mayo Clinic. The timetable was originally estimated to be around 12 weeks, but there's now a chance that he could return to action in late July or early August. There's still a long way to go, but it's about time the Nationals got some good news on the injury front. May 14

We heard earlier this week from manager Davey Johnson that Storen could begin a minor league rehab assignment later this month, but it doesn't sound like that's the case. The closer made 100 light throws in a game of catch Wednesday, and there's currently no timetable for his return to the mound. Henry Rodriguez will continue to close until Storen is ready, assuming he hasn't lost the job by then. May 16

	4	Brad Lidge D.L. Brad Lidge threw a bullpen session Wednesday for the first time since undergoing hernia surgery on May 1. Mattheus was apparently given the news when he visited a specialist Tuesday in Baltimore. He'll need to wear a walking boot for a few weeks, but should be able to continue some lifting and throwing while his foot heals. He is headed to the disabled list while Chien-Ming Wang (hamstring) will replace him on the active roster. May 22
