Julio Teheran was bombed for seven runs in just four innings in a loss to the Nationals on Wednesday.
He gave up a solo homer to Bryce Harper in the first inning and then opened the flood gates in the second. The inning opened with a single, a walk and another single before Teheran struck out the opposing pitcher. He gave up a single to Adam Eaton to bring in one run. Anthony Rendon then fanned for the second out and that brought Bryce Harper back to the plate. Boom. Grand slam. Teheran's night was ruined. All told Teheran gave up seven hits and three walks while striking out three batters. He will take his 1-1 record and 3.52 ERA into his next start versus the Mets on Tuesday in the first of a two-start week. Apr 20 - 12:46 AM
