Logan Morrison is likely to see less playing time when he returns from his thumb injury.
According to beat reporter Bob Dutton, the Mariners want to take "a long look" at Jesus Montero. Montero has been arguably the best hitter in minor league baseball this season and has played well since getting promoted (5-for-14 with three RBI). Morrison's .221 average this year is his lowest in six major league seasons. He could be headed for the bench if things don't improve quickly. Aug 1 - 7:20 PM
