Dillard elected free agency over the winter after being removed from the Brewers' 40-man roster, but he's eventually found his way back into the organization. He'll represent depth at Triple-A Nashville.

Dillard holds an unimpressive 4.70 ERA in 73 career games over four seasons with the Brewers. The 29-year-old will now try to latch on elsewhere.

Tim Dillard has accepted his minor league assignment to Triple-A Nashville.
Dillard was sent outright to Triple-A earlier this week, but he had the option to decline and become a free agent. However, he has decided to remain with the organization. The 28-year-old right-hander has a 4.38 ERA and 29/14 K/BB ratio over 37 innings at the big league level this season.

It's the first time he's done so since undergoing knee surgery. Hart admitted that the running was "awkward," but he could be ready for a rehab assignment in about a week. The assignment is expected to take a while, so it will likely be well into June before Hart is activated.

It's a procedural move, as Gamel required surgery in early March to repair a torn right ACL and is expected to miss the entire 2013 season. The Brewers now have an opening on their 40-man roster.

Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said Wednesday that Kyle Lohse began feeling discomfort in his right elbow "two or three starts ago" and was recovering slower than usual between starts.
As a result, the Brewers have scratched him from his next scheduled start on Saturday. The Brewers are hopeful that it's not a major issue, but this isn't what you want to hear from someone who is in the first year of a three-year, $33 million contract.

Chris Narveson (finger) is scheduled to face live hitters on Friday.
It will come after another successful bullpen session on Tuesday. If Friday's session goes well, Narveson will begin a rehab assignment early next week. "The finger felt good. Just kind of taking it day by day and see how it goes Friday against hitters," Narveson said. "You’re just trying to prepare yourself and get your body ready to pitch again. I think you expect yourself to hit the ground running once you come back."

Mark Rogers (shoulder) has been pulled from his minor league rehab assignment.
Rogers had a rough 11.12 ERA and 1/8 K/BB ratio in 5 2/3 innings with Double-A Huntsville and left his most recent appearance on Tuesday due to tingling in his right arm. The 27-year-old has a long injury history and began the season on the disabled list with what was termed as right shoulder instability. He has been sent back to Phoenix for further testing, after which we should know more about the next step.
