Starlin Castro will be sidelined for at least four weeks after an MRI revealed a high left ankle sprain.
In other words, he's done for the season. It's an unfortunate ending to what was a nice bounce-back year for Castro, as he batted .292/.339/.438 with 14 homers and 65 RBI. General manager Jed Hoyer reiterated that Castro remains the team's shortstop going into next season, but that doesn't mean they won't have trade talks. Javier Baez will slide over from second base to short for the remainder of the season. Sep 3 - 4:47 PM
