Josh Lindblom yielded four earned runs over six innings Saturday as the Rangers lost to the Blue Jays.
Lindblom gave up three runs over six innings against the Indians last time out and is now 0-2 with a 5.94 ERA in 16 2/3 total frames this year. The Rangers may want to try a different spot starter on the next go-around.

Josh Lindblom will start on Saturday against the Blue Jays.
Lindblom earned another shot after holding the Indians to three runs over six innings Monday. "He kept us in the ballgame," Rangers manager Ron Washington said. "He had a good breaking ball and a changeup and he was able to spot his fastball. He kept it down in the zone. He did a really good job." With Alexi Ogando out indefinitely, Lindblom could stick around a while if he pitches well. Martin Perez is an option if he stumbles.

Filling in for Alexi Ogando, Josh Lindblom pitched six innings of three-run ball in his start against the Indians on Monday.
Lindblom allowed five hits, walked one and struck out six. The Indians delivered just one extra-base hit against him, but unfortunately, it came with the bases loaded, scoring all three runs. Lindblom probably earned himself another start with the performance. He'll be a risky play in AL-only leagues.

He'll get the start on Monday against the Indians in place of Alexi Ogando (shoulder). Lindblom struggled in his lone start with the Rangers earlier this season but has posted a 2.04 ERA and 0.92 WHIP at Triple-A.

Moreland was cleared after running the bases on Sunday with no issues. He'll play at Frisco for three games before being activated on Friday, the first day he's eligible. The first baseman has been out since June 6 with a right hamstring strain.

The move is retroactive to June 13, so Baker will be allowed to return in less than 15 days if he's feeling well enough. He suffered the right thumb sprain last week while trying to give a high-five to a teammate.

Matt Harrison played catch Monday for the first time since his back surgery.
Good news, but Harrison will be restricted to flat ground work for another 4-6 weeks before getting back on a mound. Even then, he'll likely need another month to build up his workload. The southpaw isn't expected to rejoin the Rangers' rotation until September, though he could provide a nice boost down the stretch.

Ogando still has some soreness in his right shoulder, and the Rangers aren't going to let him thrown from the mound until he's completely pain-free. He'll need to go out on a rehab assignment after throwing off a mound at least a couple times, so the right-hander isn't close to returning.

It's the first time he's done so since he was shut down after feeling soreness in the back of his right elbow. Lewis will likely need several more mound sessions before facing hitters, so he's not close to resuming his rehab assignment.
