Tekotte appeared in just three games with the White Sox during his brief callup. He can play all three outfield spots, so he offers decent depth in the minors.

White Sox recalled OF Blake Tekotte from Triple-A Charlotte.
Tekotte will provide depth at all three outfield spots while Dayan Viciedo (oblique) is on the disabled list. He batted just .222 with the White Sox this spring and carries no fantasy value.

Tekotte batted just .222 this spring prior to the demotion. He can play all three outfield spots and isn't a terrible hitter, though, so he offers decent depth in the minors.

White Sox acquired OF Blake Tekotte from the Padres for a player to be named later.
Tekotte was designated for assignment by the Friars last week after posting an underwhelming .686 OPS in 89 games this past season at Triple-A Tuscon. He will function as organizational outfield depth for Chicago.

Gordon Beckham (hand) started at shortstop Monday in his third rehab game with Triple-A Charlotte.
Beckham played shortstop in college and as a prospect, but he has never done so in the majors. Of course, Alexei Ramirez is in the second year of a four-year, $32.5 million contract, so there would have to be an injury or a trade for him to get a look there with the big club. Still, it's an interesting development. Beckham is hitting .462 (6-for-13) with one double and two RBI over three rehab games and should be activated this weekend.

Sanchez was placed on the disabled list back on April 14 with a lower back strain and is finally feeling significant improvement. He figures to need quite a few rehab games before being activated.

John Danks (shoulder) went 4 2/3 innings Saturday in his third minor league rehab start.
If everything checks out with the left-hander early this week, he should be cleared to join the White Sox starting rotation on Friday night against the Marlins. Danks has been on the shelf all year and makes for a decent waiver stash right now in AL-only fantasy leagues. Since he's coming off shoulder surgery and still rebuilding his arm strength, it might not be wise to trust him right out of the gate in standard mixed formats. Even against Miami.

Gavin Floyd underwent successful surgery Wednesday to repair the ulnar collateral ligament and flexor muscle in his right elbow.
The surgeon told the White Sox that the operation "could not have gone better." However, since he needed two major areas operated on, the recovery is expected to be 14-19 months rather than the standard 12 months for Tommy John surgery. With that timetable, Floyd probably shouldn't be counted on for a whole lot in 2014. He'll be a free agent over the winter.

White Sox transferred LHP Leyson Septimo from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list.
Septimo has been out all season with a left shoulder strain. He's begun a rehab assignment but now will not be eligible to return until May 22.
