Norberto was released by the Athletics last month while he was sidelined with a left elbow strain. The 26-year-old will be in rehab mode until around midseason next year.

Athletics released LHP Jordan Norberto.
The move clears a spot for Daric Barton on the 40-man roster. Norberto is currently sidelined due to a left elbow strain. The 26-year-old had a 2.77 ERA and 46/22 K/BB ratio over 52 innings with the A's last season, so he shouldn't have a problem finding a new home once he's back to full health.

Jordan Norberto has been placed on the minor league disabled list because of a left elbow strain.
There is no timetable for his return. Norberto was sent to Triple-A Sacramento before the start of the season and will remain there when he returns to full health.
