Twins manager Paul Molitor told reporters that Eduardo Escobar will get most of the playing time at shortstop in place of Jorge Polanco (suspension).
The other option for the Twins on the 40-man roster is Ehire Adrianza, but he's more of a utility-type player in talent. Escobar has shown quality power in his time with the Twins (21 homers in 129 games in 2017), but his career .301 on-base percentage helps illustrate how little patience he has at the plate. Don't be surprised if a prospect like Nick Gordon gets a chance to play over the summer until Polanco returns from his suspension. Mar 21 - 5:17 PM
