Chris Sale struck out seven Tigers over seven innings of one-run ball on Friday, setting the White Sox franchise record for most strikeouts in a single season.
The dominant southpaw scattered five hits and walked one in the victory. With Sale's seven punch-outs he finishes the year with 274, besting the previous mark of 269 set by Ed Walsh during the 1908 season. Sale finishes another impressive season with a 13-10 record, 3.41 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 274/42 K/BB ratio over 208 2/3 innings. He'll once again be a very popular commodity heading into fantasy drafts in 2016. Oct 2 - 10:56 PM
