Tom Wilhelmsen blew his first save of the season Monday in the Mariners' late loss to the Indians.
Wilhelmsen had the victory in his grasp with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning but dropped an easy throw at first base that allowed Jason Kipnis to score the tying run. The Mariners marched back in the top of the 10th but the Indians one-upped Seattle in the bottom of that frame. Wilhelmsen still has a cool 0.47 ERA and 0.68 WHIP in 19 innings this season. His job is safe.

Tom Wilhelmsen notched his 11th save of the season with a scoreless ninth inning in Thursday's win over the Yankees.
A perfect 11-for-11 in save conversions this season, Wilhelmsen has allowed just one earned run in 2013 -- and that came on April 5. The Bartender's ERA (0.50), WHIP (0.61), job security and fantasy value for a reliever are all elite.

Tom Wilhelmsen nailed down his sixth save of the season with a perfect ninth inning in Thursday's win over the Tigers.
Wilhelmsen has only struck out five and walked four through eight innings, but fantasy owners don't really care. He's permitted just two hits and one run on the year and has converted all six save chances. "The Bartender" has plenty of job security.

Tom Wilhelmsen nailed down his first save chance of the season Monday, tossing a scoreless inning in a win over the Athletics.
Wilhelmsen issued a two-out free pass with a two-run lead but was able to retire Brandon Moss on a flyout to end it. "The Bartender" posted a 1.67 ERA and 9.5 K/9 rate while converting 29 of 34 save chances from June on last season and should be a quality fantasy closer again in 2013.

Franklin Gutierrez (hamstring) will begin a minor league rehab assignment Thursday at Triple-A Tacoma.
If everything goes smoothly, the center fielder should be back with Seattle early next week. He has been on the disabled list since April 23 with a hamstring strain.

Felix Hernandez wasn't sharp Sunday, allowing six runs -- five earned -- over just five innings in a loss to the Indians.
King Felix recorded eight strikeouts, but he allowed eight hits and walked a pair. The Mariners' ace left his last outing with a back issue, so it's possible it was an issue for him again today. As long as he's healthy, Hernandez is obviously a good bet to bounce back against the Rangers his next time out.

Aaron Harang (back) threw a bullpen session Sunday with no issues and is in line to start on Tuesday in Anaheim.
Harang missed his last outing with some minor back stiffness, but he's alright now. The big righty holds a 7.30 ERA and 1.42 WHIP over five starts this season but does boast a 23/5 K/BB ratio over 24 2/3 frames.

Mariners transferred RHP Stephen Pryor from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list.
Pryor now won't be eligible to return until mid-June, but he wasn't going to be ready before then, anyway. The hard-thrower recently resumed his throwing program but has yet to test things out from a mound.

Kinney has been on the shelf all season because of a stress reaction in his left shoulder and rib cage. He's likely to spend around two weeks in the minor leagues.
