Salvador Perez went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run in Sunday's win over the Twins.
With the Royals' 6-1 win, they clinched home field advantage throughout the playoffs. The Blue Jays were also in the mix for that honor, but they needed a KC loss. Perez helped make sure that wouldn't happen, swatting a two-run homer in the third inning to push the Royal advantage to 5-0. Heading into postseason play, the 25-year-old catcher leaves behind a batting line of .260/.280/.426. He also hit 22 home runs and drove in 70. All that's in the past now, as he gears up for postseason play. Oct 4 - 7:05 PM
