Brad Miller, who is playing for his job, walked three times and struck out once as the Mariners' No. 9 hitter on Saturday.
Miller will certainly be sitting against lefties with Chris Taylor up. How the two split time against right-handers could be a day-to-day decision from Lloyd McClendon. Miller has faded again of late after his strong June, but it's not like his early season swoon when he was striking out every third at-bat; he has an 11/7 K/BB ratio in 53 at-bats this month. He's still the Mariners' best option as a shortstop against righties. Jul 26 - 1:38 AM
