Minor league catcher Brian Henry was suspended 50 games for testing positive for the stimulant Methylhexaneamine.

Henry, who turns 28 in February, batted .237/.281/.272 in 31 games last season between the Diamondbacks' Class A and High-A affiliates. He was released in October and will serve the suspension in 2013 once he latches on with a new team. Jan 14 - 6:29 PM

Kennedy doesn't think he deserved 10 games for his role in last week's brawl with the Dodgers, but with the D'Backs having a couple off days over the next week, it makes sense to drop the appeal. He'll be eligible to return on June 29. Jun 17
	2	Brandon McCarthy D.L. Brandon McCarthy (shoulder) will throw a bullpen session on Tuesday. It will be his first since a nagging shoulder injury sent him to the disabled list in late May. McCarthy was cleared to throw from the bump after long-tossing from 105 on Monday with no issues. It's not clear when he might be ready for a rehab assignment, but a return early next month seems likely. Jun 17
	3	Trevor Cahill Sidelined Trevor Cahill has been diagnosed with a hip contusion. Cahill suffered the bruise Wednesday when he took a first-inning Marcell Ozuna line drive off his upper right leg. It's an injury that will heal in a couple of days and should not affect the right-hander's schedule much. Jun 19

	6	Daniel Hudson D.L. Daniel Hudson has suffered a re-tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow. Terrible news. Hudson, who had Tommy John surgery last July, suffered the re-tear during an extended spring training start on Tuesday. The 26-year-old right-hander was originally hoping to rejoin the Diamondbacks' rotation around midseason, he's now likely facing another surgery and an additional year of recovery time. Just brutal. If you had him stashed in a DL spot in your fantasy league, feel free to drop him now. Jun 7

Heath Bell has been scored upon in each of his last three outings and seems likely to cede the closer job back to Putz. Jun 18

	4	Matt Reynolds D.L. Matt Reynolds has been diagnosed with a slight tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow. Reynolds will receive a second opinion, but the plan for now is to shut him down for six weeks before he can hopefully begin a throwing program. Of course, anytime the UCL is compromised, the possibility of Tommy John surgery is there. Either way, it's unfortunate for the D'Backs bullpen, as Reynolds holds a 1.98 ERA and 1.10 WHIP this season. Jun 11
